F8 SSD - Apalling performances

Hello
On top of several F4, F5 and pro series, I recently pruchased the F8 SSD.
It is fitted with 2 storage pools (3 x 512 GB) and (3 x 1 TB), no problem to install and format, pretty straightforward I must admit.
On each storage pool I created a volume with maximum size.
I use Duple to hybrid-copy the shared folders on the volume 1 (shared thru firewall to host 2 veeam remote repositories) to Volume 2, which is not visible from the 2 veeam remote servers, hence not subject to crypto or whatnot.
Duple works quite fine, although the max throughput maxes out at 90 MB/s (on account of duple transforming the data I don't really care). It does the job, and the test restore of any version works fine.
BUT !!!!!
When I try and copy the Veeam directory for test sake (only 45 to 90 GB files) from Volume 1 to Volume 2 with the file manager, I have the same performance, which is appaling for a full NVME NAS !!
Even mechanical disks work WAYYYYY faster.
Any hint ?

Even the Terramaster support I contacted by email did not reply, very nice of them.
This piece of **** hardware is of no use to me with such pityful performances, and no one from support helps.
I'm really going to give up this brand.

Try an alternative OS on your TerraMaster Hardware. I run Synology DSM and it works perfect.

We have verified today based on the additional information you provided in your email. The Rsync speed from Volume 1 to Volume 2 can reach at least 300MB/S. If it's convenient for you, please contact the official online customer service, and we will arrange for an engineer to assist you remotely in troubleshooting the issue.

I had to ask the support for an answer today, and had none.
My problem is with the NVME speed on the F8 NOT THE NETWORK, my F4 and F5 achieve 300 MB/s on every read and write with the network.
Only answer I had as of today is this (with my answers inserted), nothing since 10 this morning :
To help us better identify the issue, could you please provide the following information:
1. Is your network environment 1Gb or 10Gb?
10 G but the issue il LOCAL not NETWORK, I clearly say that the awful performance is with the NVME not the network
2. Which TOS version is your F8 using?
Latest provided by the update
What type of RAID is 3 x 512 GB (Volume 1)?
[Thierry XXXXX: ] TRAID
What type of RAID is 2 x 1 TB (Volume 2)?
[Thierry XXXXX: ] TRAID
3. What is the use case for Duple? Is it from F8 to F5? What is the network environment for both devices?
Duple replicates from volume 1 (visible as a veeam repository) to volume 2 (disaster recovery). I COPY FROM THE F8 TO THE SAME F8 NOT ON THE NETWORK !!!!
4. Is the 40GB large file a single file or multiple large files? We need to verify this.
Whatever I tried the performance is awful, 300 MB to 40 GB single VEEAM BACKUP files
5. What is the use case for rsync? Is it from F8 to F5? What TOS version and device model is your F5?
I used rsync –ha as a replacement to cp because it show the real time throughput, and the max I get over 3 minutes is 70 MB per second
Thank you for your cooperation!
[Thierry XXXX: ] DO YOU WANT ANYDESK ACCESS TO NAS OR SSH TO VERIFY ?

Buy a new USB Drive, Sandisk Slim Fit is the best choice, flash ARC Loader on it.
Replace the internal TOS USB with the new SanDisk.
Go to the BIOS (DELETE key), and disable forcing TOS loading, save and exit the BIOS.
ARC Loader will boot, you can configure it as you like.
Read the WIki/FAQ for more.

Thank you so much.
As of early this morning support connected to the NAS, and it appeared that 2 of the 512 GB NVME were "slow" for whatever reason, whereas the 2 1 TB are working over 1GB/s.
So the fault is "on me" even if I'm not in the SSD

I ordered 2 new 512 SSD and will replace the 2 slow ones, and recheck.
I have not been nice with support I must admit, shame on me because the NAS is not faulty.
Case closed !

M.2 is the interface, but you have to check the protocol.
NVMe -> Its over PCI-e and can run up to 6GB/s, depending on the SSD and the PCI-e version
SATA -> Its Serial ATA protocol and usually it is limited to the SATA speed, max up to 600Mb/s.
If your 1TB M.2 SSDs are SATA, then the speed are slower.
You can write the model number of your SSDs, and we can check together.
