Hi there,
I have NextCloud running on Docker on my TNAS (TOS 6 on F8 SSD Plus) using port 8080.

I have no problem accessing this from my browser or my phone using the NAS server IP address. I do not have a dedicated external IP and the DDNS service that I am using now is not secure, just free non-ssl for now.

Should I be able to access my NextCloud instance from outside my network using tnas.online? I have tried to access from the Nextcloud app on my phone using Server Address = https://tnas.online/my-nas-name:8080 but this does not work. error "Server not found"

You won’t be able to access your NextCloud instance from outside your network using tnas.online unless you have properly set up port forwarding and a secure DDNS service.

Steps to Fix:
1. Port Forwarding – Log in to your router and forward port 8080 (or better, set up HTTPS on port 443) to your NAS’s local IP.
2. Check Your TNAS DDNS Setup – Ensure your NAS is correctly registered with tnas.online and that your public IP updates correctly.
3. Use a Secure DDNS Provider – Since tnas.online may not support SSL, consider switching to a secure DDNS provider (e.g., DuckDNS, No-IP).
4. Enable SSL (HTTPS) – Without SSL, connections might be blocked or flagged as insecure. You can use Let's Encrypt for a free SSL certificate.

Try accessing it via first to see if it works without SSL. If not, your TNAS DDNS might not be resolving correctly.
