Why does mediaserver now do this:

Under Tos5 (5.1.145) the display icon is the one on the left.
Under Tos6 (6.0.519) the display icon is the one on the right.
Now, it was my understanding that (one of the) reasons for adopting a 'superuser' login was to minimise the chances of some ner'do'well just attacking 'root'. However, here is my 'superuser' name visible to all!

The original idea that MediaServer said what it was ("Media") seemed ideally logical to me. Now it says "Yoohoo - here I am". This is despite the fact that I used an alternate admin user to install and enable Multimedia Server and the files in the indexed folders are not owned by either 'superuser' or the alternate admin.
Change for the sake of change

Baffling, to say the least. Unwise, to be generous. It, sort of, underlines the whole ethos of TOS6. Confused

Sorry, this is indeed an issue that needs to be focused on. The project team is discussing it. Thank you for your feedback.
