Extreme External Storage

Hey,

So I finally have the opportunity to upgrade the drives in my NAS so I can upgrade past the tiny root partition.

I have an 8 bay JBOD external USB3 enclosure, if I take the drives that are currently in my F4-422 and install them into the JBOD enclosure, install new drives into my F4-422, setup and install the latest and greatest TOS, will I be able to mount those original drives in their raid configuration over USB3 to copy the data off them?

Based on your described requirements, the original RAID configuration cannot be directly inherited. If you wish to retain the existing data, we recommend that you back it up to another storage medium by copying. Fortunately, the current TOS 6.0 version has introduced a hard drive mounting feature, which allows you to easily mount the hard drive and copy the data. However, please note that currently, TOS 6.0 can only be updated from the previous TOS 6.0 beta version and does not support direct installation. Please stay tuned for our subsequent notifications.

Thanks for the reply @TMgevin

Is this perhaps something I could do via ssh or are we missing modules/tools?

Storage-related tools are included, and you can do this via SSH.
