Hello all,

New TerraMaster user here. I have the F4-424 Max with two Volumes
Volume 2 (HDD)
Has a Media shared folder with Read/Write Permission
Inside there's multiple folders, i.e. Movies, TV Shows, Music, Books, etc
There is only 1 admin user which is me no other users or admins created

Plex is not seeing any folder or content inside the Media Shared folder, what am I doing wrong?
@KWguy had the exact same issue I tried to reproduce it but no luck

Please set the “Application User” permission for the folders that need to be scanned by Plex.

I have the same problem but I have already given the application user the read/write permissions to the folder:


Is there any other advice to give? I have spent 7 hours trying to get Plex Media Server working on TOS 6.0 (Plex Version 1.41.0.8994)

Same problem with Plex. After giving read/write permissions it will only go one folder deep.

update to TOS 6.0.507 fixed this for me
if you are still having the same issue
maybe create a new folder check the permissions before moving any data or new folders to it

My hero! Creating a new folder and setting permissions before I moved data into it fixed it. Thank you so much!!!!

Thank you all for the help on this. I had followed the same information as plexjellyfin and that had fixed the problem. I managed to get plex to recognise the folder now...however, I can see the media inside the folder (.avi, .mp4 etc files) and added this as a library, but when it tries to load the category e.g films, it comes up as "Films" is empty. I know that they all work as my current Plex Server files have all just been moved over there. I have also tested it with just a few files to see if the same thing happens (which it does.)
