Seagate New Drives Noises Pulsing

Hello,
I have the D8 Hybrid and first put in 2 x 8TB Seagate drives and all is good, initial drive noises after mounting and then solid green lights, no noise.
Just bought 2 x 12TB Seagate drives and after initial startup noises on both drives, getting a pulsing, dull sounding thumping (not real loud) that is continuous and doesn't stop, and the lights keep blinking. I can feel the vibrations from the "pulsing"on the enclosure.

Seagate's Seatools tests don't show anything wrong with the drives but the noises don't sound right to me.
Anyone ever had this before on their drives?

Are you using the usual noisy enterprise-class disks?
Maybe you can try to minimize the noise by angling the device.

They are the IronWolf NAS drives. By angling the device do you mean moving the D8 up on one end or the other?
I have 2 replacements due to arrive later today so will see if there is a difference. The 8TB drives are quiet when not doing anything unlike these 12TB drives.

New Drives came today and same noises. Contacted Seagate by chat and they asked for a sound file which I sent to them. They told me that the sound was "definitely not normal" so returning the replacement drives also.Trying one more time, this time buying them directly from Seagate instead of Amazon, so see what happens when they arrive next week.

Sorry, I meant “tilt it slightly” to angle the device. If your desktop is not flat enough, then you can level the device this way.

We'd like to hear it too.
If you don't feel comfortable sharing the link here, you can provide it to us through our customer service window or technical support e-mail.

Here is the .m4a file, it's actually a little louder than the file sounds https://file.io/6iAZz7Mz7BEB...

Your share is not accessible.
Generally the D8 Hybrid can't make the HDD louder, maybe you can try another disk if you have one, or you can also plug the HDD into a PC to read and write data. Compare the noise by observing the above two methods.

Sounds normal. Like said above, you can do comparison tests.
Or you can try to contact the supplier of the HDD to confirm.
Are there any abnormalities in daily reading and writing?

From the sound, it seems like the hard drive is busy. Could you please tell me which slots you installed these two drives in? Have you set up any RAID configurations? Are there any applications on your computer that are reading from USB devices?
