D5-300 USB freeze my M3 Macbook pro with OSX 14 Sonoma

Hello,
I have been running a TM D5-300 with previous MAC OSX computers with no issues for years.
one drive is set as RAID 0, 3 other drive are single drives.
I just moved to a M3 MacBook Pro running MacOSX 14 Sonoma.
Since then everytime I use the TM after a while my computer hangs and I have to do a hard reboot or I need to unplug the TM.
Every app that I use that requires a connection to the TM also hangs after a while, Final Cut or Lightroom for example.
This makes the Terra Master unit useless and also it can damage the hard drives when doing a hard reboot / disconnect.
I have been looking at some report here and there and while I tried to install the firmware dedicated to M3 computer running mac OSX, when I check with the command line if the driver is installed it says no.
I also tried to use Amphetamin software to keep my hard drives awake but it does not help neither.
This is like a pretty serious issue for me as I have 36TB of date on that unit.
I've got an older TM unit that works fine.
thanks for any help,
Dimitri.
