Access all user home folders via admin

I have multiple users, I can see their home folders in the app and on the device however when I am logged in as my admin account I can only see my home/user file. As I have to move data daily between said user files on our other nas systems, I was wondering if there is a way to see all user/home folders when I am on as my account or would I need a root account or ?

Do you mean you want to view other users' personal directories?
After logging into the TOS system with an administrator account, you can go to the homes directory under file management to view it.

I think there is something odd going on with Homes folders. in 5.1.145, if logged in as superadmin user, I can see all home folders, but I cannot change permissions*. They have been set so ALL users can read (not by me). Only the actual user can read/write (plus the superadmin). If logged in as the actual user (who should be the owner), I cannot access permissions.
*To be more precise, The superadmin can modify the permissions and the action will be 'successful', but after the action is completed, the permissions do not show as being changed - they are as they were in the first place.

and after a reboot some of the changes were applied.

Each user has their own directory under /home, which is usually created automatically through user account creation. Users are free to read and write files in their home directory, but by default cannot access other users' home directories.
A super administrator can modify the permissions of the /home directory and its subdirectories to allow or restrict access for regular users.
Thank you for your feedback, our lab will continue to follow up on this issue.

Yes, theory is great
I Just installed a fresh copy of 5.1.145 on new test drives. I will see what happens when I create new users.

I think I see my issue. When home folders (at least in 5.1.145) are created for users by the system, the system grants permissions on the folder for the group 'allusers' I see it a fundamentally wrong that any other users should be granted any access to a user's 'home' folder. (as per your presumption)
It is then necessary to change the 'group' permissions to deny access to other groups, which then modifies permissions seen under 'users' for all members of the respective groups except the owner.

File Manager works but is not what I meant, if I map the NAS as a drive where I see my user home file, as an admin I would like to see all home files int he same location. So, then I can grab and move files from one user home file to another as requests come in. More or less using SMB through windows. This is our newest NAS and unlike our other 2, this does not appear to be available to admin accounts.

We have no plans to implement this feature at this time.
We will continue to discuss this issue.
