Copying files: 25sec transfer 115MB/s - 5 sec. 25MB/s or timeout

Hello again

Is it normal, that when copying large files (movie files) to the 423 with two single WD 14TB HDDs, it goes like this:
25 sec transfer 115MB/s
5 sec transfer 25MB/s or stopping transfer (cannot see it exactly, but as I copied one 4GB file it shows 25MB/s, now transfering the whole HD it does not show up the transfer, so it seems to stop it for 5 sec.)
25 sec transfer 115MB/s
5 sec transfer 25MB/s or stopping transfer
25 sec transfer 115MB/s
5 sec transfer 25MB/s or stopping transfer
...
and so on.

Is this normal? If yes, why? If not, what could be the reason for the 5s decrease all 25 seconds?
I am asking, because in a video on Youtube I saw the same behaviour of their 423 NAS, when they copied files onto the NAS.

My config is a Bundle from Amazon:
NAS F4-423 (TOS 5.1.131)
additional 16GB RAM Crucial
additional 500GB SSD Crucial / cache set to 500GB to Volume 1

and 2 x 14TB Seagate Ironwolf Pro configured as Single Volumes (no Raid)

Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your feedback!
Are you using SMB to transfer files?
We need to verify your situation in the experiment.

It is so hard to understand.

With my old NAS452 I for nearly 10 years had the problem, that when I started to copy movie files onto it (from my computers actually a Mini PC 32 GB RAM and a 2TB SSD with Windows 11 on it) there from the beginning on was a 40 to 60 second pause until it starts to copy the files. When I just copied files some minutes before there wasnt any pause before copying.

Over the years I changed everything and several times.
The routers
The cables
The network hubs
The computers
The XBOXes
The Playstations

But I alway had that 40 to 60 seconds pause until it starts to copy files to my NAS.
No matter whether I used the explorer or what I am using for around 30 years the Total Commander.

And now that I have a brand new and modern NAS another fault shows up.
To be honest I am a little bit disappointed...

Have you tried it with another computer? Is the transfer speed normal?
Or you can use WinSCP to try with other file transfer protocols.
For example, FTP, webDAV, etc.
We will verify the issue you mentioned as soon as possible.
