After running for 45 minutes doing the update to this version and only getting to 3% is dropped to saying install... Then when I went back to the installed apps it says to update again.

Advice needed as it should not take 45 minutes to do 3% install... that would be 25 hours to update????!!!!

This is ridiculous... I stopped the update. I have uninstalled and deleted the user/plex directory completely for a clean slate installation. Two installs attempted. The first failed at 11% for no apparent reason, the second is at 4% after 15 minutes.

I'm having a similar issue installing the update.
Appeared to have stalled at 3%, bounced NAS and retried, immediately went to 8%.
Looks to have stopped at 9%, so I selected Back and then selected Plex again, now showing 25%.

So seems to be installing, but extremely slowly

indeed after another hour now at 32% with a clean install! on my QNAP nas installation takes minutes if that... I am so regretting buying this nas now along with the other problems I have encountered with settings being lost or 'switched back on' after a reboot it is truly awful.

After approx 1hr 15min got to 50% and status changed to Started
Plex now available

Previously the updates have only taken minutes, this isn't normal

To have a truly clean install, you need to remove data from /user/plex/home folders, as an uninstall doesn't seem to remove the old settings/database etc.
I had to do a clean install and found this out for myself

I did delete the whole user/plex folder as I have had to do this previously too... 3 hours mine took give or take ten minutes.

The first 50% of update is to download the update package, so any failure between 1-50% means that the update package is not downloaded successfully.

If the network is busy or many people downloading the same application at the same time, the download progress will be abnormally slow or even no respond. At this time, repeatedly clicking download or update will submit more requests to the server, causing the progress to deteriorate further.If you are experiencing something like this, please try again later.

tried for days with it dropping after various periods of time (minutes to hours) then eventually it installed after 2 1/s hours... Still getting the problem with scanning one of the libraries which works perfectly on the plex server running on my QNAP and local PC. just won't scan and crashes plex... Have removed it for now but will have to investigate the logs more closely in the future.

Strange as i had lots of the same problems with the last plex updates and installs but this last update was done in minutes.
