Good Evening Everyone,

I was hoping somebody maybe able to assist with a high memory utilization. I monitor my NAS with PRTG via SNMP. For the last few months i have been getting alerts stating that my memory usage is below the 20% threshold. I have reviewed the historic data on the memory and it seems like sometime back in February of this year the RAM started dipping. As you can see the free memory was fin since Mid Nov. If i reboot the NAS everything is fine for about 3 weeks and than back to less than 20% The NAS is only used for SMB sharing. There are no applications that are running on the NAS other than a USB copy that happens once a week. I have checked for updates, however i do not belive this NAS goes past 4.2.41 whici i am currently on.

What do you mean by "below the 20% threshold"?

Regarding the gradual increase in RAM usage on the 210 model, this may help:

Thank you for the reference

i have setup a cron job as shown from the other post.

I have also restarted the service manually to verify that the ram utilization does go down with the following

Code: Select all

sudo service S99msgcenter restart
I will check back on Sunday to verify that the job ran.
