New NVME compatibility Chart

Post by epsilonion »

I was looking at google and various NVME SSD on the compatibility chart on the website and a lot of them are no longer carried by shops, it would be great to get a new list so I can see what to buy..

Thanks

All bare NVMe drives that can run @ PCIe Gen3 ×1 should be compatible, however there's a height restriction due to the aluminum case of the 223/423 series (the newer 424 series models are plastic, which could be even more of an issue for passing through the heat), so nothing with an integrated heatsink will work (but do research for general operating temperature under load from user reviews of any prospective drive, due to this space constraint).

You'll want to get a NVMe drive with a DRAM cache if using it as a system drive, as those normally have a higher TBW rating & possibly longer warranty.
