D5-300C Can I transfer drives from a dead unit to a new one?

Post by BBQTom »

I have a D5-300C that died due to a power surge. The drives are fine. I have a new D5-300C, is there a way to have the drives work in the same RAID configuration without having to format them and lose the data?

This is achievable, please make sure you have rotated the new D5-300C pointer to the corresponding array type first.
Then, you can place the hard drives in the correct positions, start D5-300C, and access the data.
