Factory reset not doing anything F4-210

Hi Team
I'm trying to factory reset my device but it seems its not doing it.
- Used the gui factory reset: OS was reinstalled and seems it was done on 1st glance but after some ssh digging old stuff still in place (settings, applications and files as well)
- Removed the single disk I have in the device cleaned it with dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=1M (under linux) put it back reinstalled everything from TOS_A1.0_Install_ARM4.2_4.2.41_2204280925_2301121149.ins file and I still see some old stuff. Old user names, old setting, even applications are available after the re-initialization.
What the heck is going on here? Is there no way to really do a reset? I assume the internal drive contains all the crappy data, but i want to have a clean system. How can I do a clean install?
Thanks for the support.
