In TOS File Manager, the Cut/paste is actually move, all files or folder will keeps its original profile. If this happens within the same volume, the operation will be done in one second.

Yes I understand that. But once you CUT, then you need to manually go to the directory you want and Paste it, to move it there. Please check how SYNOLOGY and QNAP does this. Check my previous screenshots. It saves so much time when you do it this way.

I'm not the biggest fan of TOS, but there certainly is a Copy to/Move to option in File Manager. It's in the ellipsis/More button beside the File Task button.

It's not in the right-click context menu weirdly enough, but it's there, and it does allow you to pick the destination for your copy/move with an option to create a folder in-place.

Thank you so much! it is super weird that it is not in the right click menu! But this helps a lot!

Now only if there was also the "Unzip To / Unrar To" option!

Also I noticed that UNZIP does not work (TOS 6) and also the remote access is not working for me either.

Any ideas?

What about the Unzip/Unrar option? it doesn't work for me but it does work on 5.1 Version.

Can you check and confirm if it works or not?

Also, where is the "Background Tasks" button?

At present, "Unzip to" can only decompress files to the current folder. We will fix it later. When you have tasks like copying or moving to execute, if you minimize the progress prompt box, you can reopen it and view it again under the background task icon flashing on the right side of the desktop.

Did you check if it works even that way? Mine does not decompress anywhere. Not even in the same folder.

What format is the compressed package you need to decompress? Is there a prompt message on the page when you fail to decompress?
