Enable ROOT User

Post by Spexxy »

Annoyingly the root user is disabled when setting up the NAS, however how do you enable it? There is a problem with the tnas.link certificate not being valid for https access (certificate has not expired) but you cannot renew or change this without root access? I've read other posts saying you can use SSH which is fine but where or how do you login with the admin root account?

there is no user named "root" in TOS. But there is a user with the name of the user you used for TOS installation. This user has UID 0 which you can use to connect via SSH and acts as root equivalent
