F4-F423 Disable powerbutton?

Post by ragnar76 »

Hi there,

my 2 year old daugter is alway pushing the powerbutton on my F4-423. Is there any way to disable it? The ususal Unix/Linux ways, like editing /etc/acpi/events/powerbtn (No ACPI deamon installed) or /etc/systemd/logind.conf (no systemd installed) does not work.

Many thanks! :)

maybe put it where it can't be touched/ :)

Honestly? that was my first thought too, but the button is not flush with the housing, it sticks out a bit. if i stick something on it, the button is permanently pressed

get some of those stick on plastic buttons to act as spacers, then attach to front panel.
