Greetings,
Apologies if this isn't the appropriate forum, but I'm seeking specific information. I own an F2-221 and intend to expand by adding more hard drives. Considering the D2-310 without RAID, I have several inquiries:
Can it be directly connected to the USB of the TNAS?
Will disk formatting be necessary?
Will TOS5's file manager recognize them as Usbshare1/2?
Thank you for your valuable time.
Expanding F2-221: D2-310 Compatibility?
Re: Expanding F2-221: D2-310 Compatibility?
D2-310 can be connected to TNAS via USB for use.
Regarding hard drives, formatting is not necessary as long as your hard drive has a file system that can be recognized by TNAS.
Yes, TOS5 will mount the recognized file system as usbshare1/2.
