I have 2x WD Purple HDDs in TRAID (RAID1), currently rebuilding the array. This is called Storage Pool 2 / Volume2.

I added a 1.92Tb Intel SSD in Single Drive mode, and did not create any volume. This drive is empty - I did a Secure Erase on it.

I want to create a new Storage Pool on the Intel SSD. However the "Create" icon is disabled in TOS.

TOS does not give any reason why I cannot create a new Storage Pool on the empty SSD?

I think I solved this myself. I had another Storage Pool that was going through a RAID resync - seems it's not possible to add another until this completes.

Terramaster, I would suggest that if your backend is preventing an operation due to running processes, this should be made obvious in the frontend. I read your documentation and searched this forum and could not find anything that explained why I couldn't create another Storage Pool.

I also don't understand why this limitation exists. I had an existing Storage Pool using 2x HDDs. I was trying to create a new Storage Pool using 2x separate SSDs. Any RAID sync would be on separate disks, and uses almost no CPU/memory, so it's not clear what the benefit is to preventing it.

Regarding the situation you mentioned, this is a new security mechanism set up in the new TOS version. The purpose is to ensure smooth synchronization without interference as much as possible.
