Changing format from BTRFS to EXT4

Hi

Yesterday I installed 5.1 but realised I'd used BTRFS instead of EXT4. I deleted partitions using putty but when I've reinitialised it didn't give me the option to change to format to EXT4.

Is it possible to do this? I've got a back up drive formatted as EXT4 and it doesn't seem to want to recognise it as a back up device, sometimes it see it sometimes it doesn't hence why I was changing it back to EXT4 to see if that helped.

I've spent 2 days on this so far and it's driving me crazy!!!
