I searched the forum and the internet but I can't seem to find a solution to this.
I have a F5-221. It's formatted in EXT4, and I'm trying to assign Shared Folders in the NAS that have a max 2TB Storage.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong... but I'll explain what I want to do.

This NAS will be at Parent's house, and needs to have three Shared Folders inside the NAS where my dad, my mom and my brother have a max 2TB space. This will be used for random personal files and keeping an update of devices (Macbook, iPhones, iPads).

It needs to be 2TB because i need the rest of the drive (about 30TB left) is going to be Plex and FTP storage for me which I'll access remotely when I'm travelling.

Is there a way to do it under EXT4? I thought starting this that Quota Management was an EXT4 feature.

You cannot limit the size of folders on an EXT4 volume, but you can limit the available space for users. If your parents can only use 1-2 folders and you have limited 1TB+1TB of user available space for each of them (if your parents share one account, you can even simply limit the available space of one account to 2TB), then you can achieve a similar effect to your imagined goal.
Alternatively, you can backup the data, delete the EXT4 volume and rebuild it as a BTRFS volume, which can limit the folder size

Would it make sense to:
create three volumes: 1 20TB for Plex in EXT4, 1 10TB for my stuff in EXT4, 1 6TB that is BTRFS which is divided in three folders of 2TB for each my mom, dad and brother.

If not, following your solution: how does the NAS know how much have they used in storage?

EXT4 can count the amount of data written by users, regardless of which folder the data is in, but it is limited to EXT4 volumes and only within a certain EXT4 volume.
If you have multiple EXT4 volumes, the user usage for each EXT4 volume needs to be set and calculated separately.
