I have my plex server up and running and it's working well however I'm not getting any metadata, any ideas?

Do you mean the index information of media files?
What version of TOS are you using? If you are using TOS. 5. x, you need to set the permissions of the 'media' user group to allow it to read and write to your media files. It represents the application's permissions for your files
