I just installed Multi Media server, now what do I do?

Post by manya2000 »

I just installed Multi Media server but I don't see anything at all, like how to select folders or any interface.

I try http://(my ip address):8300 but nothing happens.

All I get is this:
This site can’t be reached (my ip address) refused to connect.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Terra Photos works, Plex works.
Am I supposed to see something?

I don't quite understand what you mean. Does it mean that you can't see the video after enabling the multimedia server? This requires setting the index directory. You can refer to the help document in the upper right corner to set

See what Video?
Pardon my stupid question, but what will I use the Multimedia server for? Is there a program that uses it?
For instance, if I run Plex server, I will use Plex on a FireTv stick, or a TV.

What do I use for the Multimedia server?

If you are using Windows, you can use the VLC media player and the built-in media player for Windows.
There are more options for mobile devices, and you can search for them based on the keyword "DLNA".
