My boot volume at F4-420 1TB and full.

Please find me direct instructions to reduce the file size to 3GB so I can update the volume. I can not access and reduce the boot volume.
I have included the warning as an attachment,

Your volume is full of data. You need to delete some files or move them to a USB or computer to release some space for system updates.

You have possibly misread the message. It is not asking you to reduce a specific file to 3Gb. It is not asking you to reduce the boot volume. It IS asking you to ensure you have AT LEAST 3Gb of free space. As explained by @TMroy.

I can understand a confusion. The error message relates to "system default volume". Then the question becomes "Is that the OS partition, slightly mislabeled as a 'volume'?" or "Is that Volume1 (being the default volume created for data?".

System default volume could also be volume 2 or 3, in some cases. Thank you for your suggestion, It is a little confusing. We will try to optimize the message to avoid such kind of confusion.

Please check your volume size on "Control panel > Storage > Volumes", if there is any volume that is full, especially pay attention to "Volume 1".
