For anyone who hasn't yet talked to the Support Team: when I upgraded to TOS 5.1x, I noticed two changes. First, the main folder is renamed to Volume1 (or Volume2, 3, or however many volumes you specified). The old /mnt/md0 (or 1, 2, ...) filepath snippet is obsolete. If Plex is storing that, you need to change the listing in all libraries.

Second, you have to grant Read/Write permissions manually on the /public folder and to the Media User Group on that same folder. See Control Panel -> User Groups for details. Select Media User Group and then click Edit, and then select Permissions. The /public and /Plex folders should both have Read/Write permissions granted to this group. Until they do, Plex can't even see the library folders.

Did you manage to solve your problem? I am having the same problem.

The support is not really helping much. Seems like they also puzzle with the issue.

If you are referring to the issue of individual NVMe SSDs showing abnormally high temperatures? We have made adjustments to TOS 5.1.67 to be compatible with some SSDs. Are you still encountering this issue in newer versions?

Hello! I apologize for taking so long to respond.
All problems were resolved when I updated to TOS version 5.1.95. The developers really tried to fix all the identified operating system errors.

My apologies, I should be more specific on my problem. I couldn't get the media indexing to work, keep uncheck itself after applying. So after you update to 5.1.95, this problem got solved? Cheers

Hi there,

Sorry I should have been more specific on my question; I am encountering problem for media indexing. The media indexing keep uncheck itself, after I checked them and click on apply.

It's just so weird. I approached the customer service, and they asked me to do a few things but doesn't help at all. At last, they asked me to start login in by SSH, which I went to look at it and it's abit overwhelming for me.

Just weird, it cant be that hard..........

If your NAS is working ok do not recomend to guess that update TOS is a good and logical idea, is not. Save time and risk
220 series with 2GB system partition is not recommended to update to TOS 5.1!
Hi, I read many hours and back up all my file prior to the update, my technique was if I will repalce the HDDs 2 x 4TB (old working TOS) and I will replace with 2 x8TB hdds the update from start fresh will be fine , and was fine Start with TOS 5.0.176 (best stable TOS 5 release) then 5.1.40 (issues, issues) .

at the end repeat the entire process, clear the 8TB TOS partitions and star from scratch again but this time TOS 5.1.176 and from this releasr set up all my apps PLEX etc, and
now I have a working F2-220 with TOS 5.0.176 and I wont upgrade any more until TERRAMASTER create a way to rollback (like firmware or like clonezilla) the previous TOS working state becasue I waste several hours to get back to work a device that was working fine and just upgrade the HDDs

I am trying to work out if I can upgrade from TOS 5.1.40 to 5.1.67, but am not sure if I have more than 2GB of system partition, because under my Overview page "/", it says 1.56/7.41 (GB). Does that mean I have 7.41 GB of system partition (and not 1.56), and therefore can upgrade to TOS 5.1.67? I have attached a screenshot of my Overview page.

Thanks in advance.

In the item you are looking at it IS system partition. You are USING 1.56GB of 7.41GB (which I reckon is nearer 21% then 22%, but I don't think math is TM strong point  ). 7.41GB is the 'system' version of a generic 8GB setting. All other things being equal, you should be good to go. (ie don't blame me  )
F5-221 5.1.123, 8GB System Partition on 3 x 4TB Traid; 3TB EXT4
F2-221 TOS6 (Beta), 8GB System Partition on 2 x 6TB in Traid. (Latest Update 11/04/24)

Yes, this is 8Gb and you are good to go updating.

I think this is not related to TM's math skills.
Here we see the difference between decimal and binary bytes:
8Gb = 8,000,000,000 / 2^(30) = 7.45GB
And the small difference between 7.45 and 7.41 may come from the HDDs sector sizes and a multiple of it for the partition size.
F2-220, TOS 5.1.123 (8GB system partition), Docker 2.0.16 (Nextcloud, AdGuard Home), Terra Photos 2.0.13
