Backup/restore System Configuration

What exactly does this back up (and does it really restore everything it backs up?

I cannot find anything to tell me what exactly this function will do. Just a generalisation regarding it's function.

For example:
Does it backup user details? Names? Passwords? Email details?

Does it backup user settings? Permissions?

Does it backup internal function settings?

Does it backup scheduled events?

Does it backup application settings?

Probably a lot more I could ask, but I'll leave it there for now. Feel free to chip in>

During system configuration backup, the system partition configuration is backed up, excluding the application configuration and files stored in the volume.
System configurations that will be backed up include:
The user's name, user's password, user's email information, file service configuration, task schedule, media index, firewall, certificate, login style, switch settings, fan mode, buzzer Settings, security general Settings, and more.
When restoring the system configuration, if the backed-up user does not exist in the TOS, the permissions and settings of a user will be restored.

Thank you for the clarification.

I just performed a re-install of 5.1.41. The configuration file I saved yesterday (from same version) did not properly configure the user/group permissions on the shared folders. All users defaulted to "Deny" on all folders.

Thank you.

{This confirms what I reported before some time ago.)
