Appropriate Configuration

Hi, i'm new to the forum and new to the NAS game, i opted for terramaster as it looked to be one of the best bang for the buck approaches, knowing that there might be a learning curve to configure it, and to be able to make the things i would like it to do, so here's the thing:
I have a F5-221, I’ve already loaded it with 5 ironwolf 4TB Drives, and upgraded it to TOS 5.1.
What I want to do:
I’d like to make my NAS a Time Machine backup drive, and would like to allocate folders for my family members to store and share files (Photos, music, documents, etc.)
Specifics:
I believe that Time Machine tends to use as much drive as you give them to store backups, so I’d like to limit the amount of space available so that I can hook up 2 or 3 computers to constantly backup. Also, I’d like to assign specific space limits to each member of the family (I’d like to be as if everyone had his own personal backup drive connected to each machine).
What I’ve done:
At first I made a RAID 5 Array (I’d like to have one drive assigned to parity so that I have some protection on the data stored in the NAS), and started from there, but could not find a way to assign size caps to specific folders and I assumed that wouldn’t work with the time machine backup. Then I thought that if I created different volumes within the storage pool then I could make it as If I had multiple single drives that I could assign to each member or purpose, however I couldn’t find how to create folders within specific volumes or how to assign specific volumes to different users.
I don’t know if the NAS can perform the tasks that I want it to, or if I’ve missed any tutorial or manual that could indicate me any path to where I want to be; as of right now, I haven’t introduced any data to the NAS so it’s “empty” so if I have to format it or make any deep changes that would not be any issue.
I also tried to contact Terramaster support but i got no concrete answers or specific things to try, i consider myself tech savvy but i had always delt with individual storage drives hard wired to my computer so this is new ground for me. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. if this is not the correct place to post this topic, i'd thank the admins if they move it to the correct place.
