Sorry for the intrusion but I have your same nas model and the copy of files works correctly for me

Huh that's strange, I guess I'll have to make a ticket then. Thanks for the confirmation.

Another release that does not work for F5-422!
Not a single update has worked for my F5-422 since 5.1.33.
After 'installation' I can never login into it or see it in SMB in Windows.
I have to use a 'trick' to re-install back to 5.1.33.

Please, please test it on the F5-422 before releasing.

Hi, i have F5-422 and I successfully updated to 5.1.40 with no issues.
Maybe would you do clean install 5.1.40 with TOS Installation Package For new TNAS device TOS installation https://download2.terra-master.com/TOS_ ... 291835.ins
backup your data before.

Since you updated the TOS and the problem persists, it may not have much to do with TOS. SMB speed is related to many factors, and it is recommended to check other parts as well.
You can check step by step according to the transmission line: computer hard disk read and write performance > computer network card bandwidth > computer to router connection > router itself > router to TNAS connection > TNAS network card bandwidth > TNAS hard disk read and write performance.
In addition, this is also related to the files you copy and use. It is recommended to use large files for testing.
Thanks for the response. I have isolated the issue to a faulty powerline adapter. The NAS is fine. Thanks.

In that case you should have a backup, again! (I lose sympathy for repeat offenders.)
F5-221 5.1.123, 8GB System Partition on 3 x 4TB Traid; 3TB EXT4
F2-221 TOS6 (Beta), 8GB System Partition on 2 x 6TB in Traid. (Latest Update 11/04/24)

That's sort of like asking "how long is a piece of string?" ;)

What sort of data/files is it (small/large/whatever)? Can make a difference. Is it really 24TB or is that the total disk capacity? Is storage in some sort of raid config? (so "data" may be something less).

As an example, I use a Windows based backup app that will backup to local drive and I can set that backup to be compressed (in various depths of compression). I have a caddy fitted to my Windows machine so I can swap in any size drive I wish (3.5" HDD/2.5"HDD/SSD). So, just to copy 24TB of real data, you will need at least one HDD > 24TB. To do a compressed backup of that data you will need something less. Or if you use file splitting (a possibility) several smaller drives. [Calculations required]

It may take time with a compressed backup, but at least you can let it run in the background and get on with life.
