After updating the OS on my F2-210, Plex shuts down every night and has to be manually started each morning.

I had this problem once before, but cannot for the life of me remember/figure out how I fixed it.

If anyone here has ideas, I would love to remove this (admittedly minor) annoyance.

Did you set the automatic shutdown? You can try reinstalling the plex folder after renaming it.

I did an automatic shut down when the TNAS/Plex setup was first installed, and I eventually found a way to undo it. I am guessing that updating the TNAS software turned this back on, but I cannot locate where that setting is to check.

That instance of the Plex server just shut down in the middle of the day, and had to be restarted, so the issue is not automatic shut down.

Have you ever set a timer switch on the previous version? You can re-create a power on/off schedule in Control Panel > Hardware&Power > Power on/off schedule and then cancel it, which may update the settings on the device.

I attempted this without success.

You can try to reinstall TOS to reset some settings that may affect it.
