Plex Update Manual or Automatic on ToS 5.1

I've just done a clean install of ToS 5.1.37-0031.

I've installed Plex from the App Center. This is version 1.32.1.6999

Plex is telling me that "Version 1.32.4.7195 is now available."

Will the App Center be providing links to updates to Plex over time or should we manually install the upgrade?

If a manual install is the recommended route then please can you put something about how to do this in the help.

If updates are going to be provided by the App Center then please can the updates be provided more regularly as there have been multiple updates since 1.32.1.6999

You can download the latest installation package from plex's official website, and then go to the TOS Application Center to choose manual installation. We will update a version in the near future.

Thank you for clarifying. I'll get my Plex updated manually then.

On the Plex website it is a bit complicated for end users as there are versions for x86 and arm which gives the risk of people downloading the wrong version for their NAS.

My tip here is that the Plex app (on Windows) tells me when there is a server update and I can download this from inside Plex itself. This goes into my downloads folder (on Windows 11). I think this is a less complex way of sourcing upgrades as Plex should download the right update that is compatible with your plex server.
