TD2 Hardware Compatibility issue NEED HELP

Hello guys, so i got myself terramaster td2 thunderbolt 3 with very little clue of thunderbolt related tech.
Saw it is compatible with USB 3.0/3.1 interface.
I thought all i need to do is just buy a thunderbolt to USB adapter/converter will do.
But it does not work at all. My computer does not detect any new hard disk in disk management.

did a lot research, read up a lot.
came to some conclusion but not confident in my conclusion and seeking for help.

My current setup
AMD Ryzen 7 2700 + Micro-Star B450-A PRO
As far as my understanding, my current setup will NOT work as this motherboard and ryzen does not support thunderbolt feature at all.
Planning to get a new rig, but before i get a new rig, just to check... is there any workaround for my current workstation to detect TD2 at all?

So.. come to my next question.
I'm trying to setup a new rig.
Does all motherboard that written "Thunderbolt 4/USB4 Type-C ", means all workable with TD2 thunderbolt 3?
i am still confused with thunderbolt 4, USB4, Type-C... but i felt like it should works for TD2, just need confirmation before spending money.

Appreciate for any feedback and answer please.

(some people tells me ryzen does not support thunderbolt at all.. so... really need to make sure this as i am more into AMD)

Devices that generally support Thunderbolt 4 also support Thunderbolt 3.

So even if is Ryzen CPU, as long as the motherboard written as thunderbolt 4, it should by right support TD2 right?
coz there are some people (computer shop staff -.-) telling me Ryzen wont able to support thunderbolt, and thunderbolt is only meant for apple.
but from my research, it seems like not the case. so im really confused.

Just my personal opinion, but I would doubt Ryzen chips would support Thunderbolt since it was developed by Intel and Intel held the rights. AMD would have needed to licence it from Intel. The only way it might be offered would be via motherboard manufacturers adding additional hardware to provide Thunderbolt capability. So individual motherboards might support Thunderbolt, but it would not be anything to do with AMD/Ryzen. Things may be changing, but I would not want to rely on that for compatibility. :(

i see i see.. so i assume as long as the motherboard says is compatible to thunderbolt 4, it should do good right?
I'm currently looking at Asus ProArt B550-CREATOR.
any thought on this board?

Terramaster support/team, any thought? should be good to go?
