Is there a way to uninstall TOS and reset to "factory default"? When needing to return the unit for RMA, or selling it on, the last thing you want is to have someone now have all your NAS settings, some of which are a definite security risk when leaked.

You can connect the hard drive to your computer to format it.

To erase the system configuration, go to TOS > Control panel > General settings > Update & recovery > Backup & restore > Reset system configuration.
