NAS became Read Only

I am on update 5.1.24 and hadnt changed anything for weeks, just moving files back and fourth on the NAS. Then one day I try to batch edit files on the NAS (resizing a lot of pictures automatically) and the Windows app I was using for that stopped due to write errors on the NAS. I then tried to write anything to the NAS, and wasnt able to. I checked the permissions in both TOS WebUI and SMB via Windows and both were saying the NAS was Read Only. The account I am using has full permissions according to the TOS user policy, and I havent had any permission issues before, and am the sole user of the NAS.
Now the weird thing is, if I restart the NAS I have the ability to write to the NAS again, but it doesnt last. After some time the NAS will go back into Read Only mode and I will be unable to write to it. All HDD's report no hardware issues.
Any suggestions? I dont have the spare storage to back the data up elsewhere and do a clean install of TOS. And will to see if there are any suggestions before updating to 5.1.31 and hoping the issue just goes away.
