I noticed yesterday that my network storage wasn't accessible. I then noticed that I couldn't access anything with my TNAS.
I started troubleshooting the unit, and noticed the following:
The Network switch it is connected to doesn't 'see' it. (By indicator lights)
There are no lights on the LAN port on the TNAS.
Swapped cables, no change.
Cleaned the dust out of it, no change.
The TNAS NIC appears to be communicating with my tester, but with nothing else. The lights on the TNAS NIC remain off.
Connected the server to the router, instead of the network switch, no change.
The router is no longer able to 'see' the TNAS.
Anyone got any ideas? I'm about to take it apart... I've bought the server at the old place, and I've been living at the new place for about 2 years... so, warranty is out of the question. I'm unable to access the live chat on the website too. I don't mind sending it in for repair, but a sub 5 year lifespan for something like this is kind of insane, dry climate or not.
F4-220 - lost network capability
Re: F4-220 - lost network capability
Adding a new post, I'm a wee bit colorblind, but I'm certain all four of my HDD indicator lights are red.

Re: F4-220 - lost network capability
After completing this troubleshooting, the issue is not resolved.
No change. Network is still not able to "see" the NAS. the lights on the Ethernet port do not light up at all on the NAS.
The device hardware may be dead.
