I have two Terramasters set up with plex, and an issue with my new one.

Model: F4-210
TOS: 4.2.40
1024 MB RAM
Plex: 1.29.0.6244

Model: F2-423
TOS: 5.1.29
16384 MB RAM
1 TB SSD Hyper Cache
Plex 1.31.2.6783

Whenever I add new media my TOS 5 plex server, the libraries don't update.
I've checked terramaster permissions.
I've manually refreshed the libraries in plex, and media index on terramaster.
Every now and then when I fight it long enough it seems to mysteriously update, but I can't figure out why.

Is there a specific permission or setting that needs to be enabled in TOS 5 that is different from TOS4?

En créant directement mes dossiers média directement dans le dossier PLEX cela fonctionne mieux. Depuis je n'ai plus connu de soucis.

Same problem here. All my films etc play perfectly well. Only thing that doesn't work is updating of libraries after files have been added to database.

I am on 1.32.1.6999 and updated last week (11 May 2023)

As this is the only thing I use my NAS for this is very frustrating. I replaced a Synology NAS a month ago but since then I have had nothing but problems with software, particularly Plex

Anyway just wanted to add that this has only been a problem since the Plex software update last week

MYSTERIOUSLY ONE OF THE "MISSING" files appeared in Plex. But the other new file and one of the older ones, Back to the Future III, has disappeared from Plex but still on the NAS and plays. Something has screwed up and I suspect permissions of some sort in Plex.

But I can't seem to alter permissions on the NAS File manager. This is pretty poor.

Try to set the permission of usergroup "media" to your folder.
