If you want to use TerraMaster Thunderbolt 3 device on a Mac computer with Thunderbolt 2 interfacce, you need to pay attention to followings:

1. TerraMaster Thunderbolt 3 device is not compatible with Thunderbolt 2 interfacce directly. You need to purchase a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter and prepare a certified Thunderbolt 2 cable;
2. Only use the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter provided by Apple. Any other adapters will not work;
3. Only use a certified Thunderbolt 2 cable, any other non-certified cable may lead to connection failure.

How to use a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter
1. Plug the Thunderbolt 3 connector of the adapter to Thunderbolt 3 interface on TerraMaster device;
2. Connect one end of your Thunderbolt 2 cable to the Thunderbolt 2 connector of the adapter;
3. Connect the other end of your Thunderbolt 2 cable to the Thunderbolt 2 connector on your Mac computer;

It's actually doesn't work I have two apple cable, one is just unpacked from the sealed box, and a brand new tb2->tb3 Apple adapter. Nothing works on Catalina. Got macpro 2013 in here
