I hadn't tried using the TNAS Multimedia app since the 5.0.176 update. It used to work under the 4.x versions.

My dlna devices can see the folder structure ie: \public\music or \public\photo

When I try to open the photos or music folder the devices report "no compatible files" message. I just have standard jpg and mpg files. This worked previously.

Is this a permissions issue? The dlna devices aren't getting asked for login credentials. These dlna devices have access to another media server and can access files on the non-tnas server. They see the tnas server and it's file structure just nothing is accessible.

Please update to TOS 5.1.24. Then rebuild the media index.

Installing 5.1.24 did resolve the issue of dlna devices seeing and accessing the media files.

Interestingly, the dlna devices now show the TNAS servers with the Linux Penguin icon. Under 5.0.176 the TNAS servers were represented by a blue box.
