Two days ago, I bought the F2-423 Terramaster with two 4TB Seagate Ironwolf Hard drives.

The first problem started when I was not able to install TOS.
The online install option stayed at 0%, and the manual install option gave an error when it reached 90%.

So I contacted Chat support, and I got excellent service.
An engineer logged in with Teamviewer, and with the command prompt, he updated some stuff to the TerraMaster, and I was able to install TOS.
Everything was looking ok now.

But after logging out of TOS, I wanted to log in again.
Then I got a warning that the credentials were not good.
I’m 100% sure I used the proper credentials; then I tried the password recovery and got “ user does not exist.”

Then I thought, I put two other discs in the device and start over again, but if I do that, the TerraMaster does not connect to LAN.
It does not give a LAN connection with no discs or two other empty discs.

If I place back the 4TB Seagate Ironwolf Hard drives, then TOS starts with LAN again, but there is no way to log in, and the LEDS from HD1 and two and LAN are flashing like crazy. What worries me is if the device is not hacked.

It is one big nightmare; I wished I had chosen Synology.
Spend so much money, and nothing works.

No idea how to solve this

Please shut down the device first, put back the original disk and restart it, and then log in again after entering the system.

The login failure may be caused by a database exception.
Please try to restart the database. If that doesn't work, restart your TNAS.

If your device still cannot be turned on, or none of the above methods can solve the problem,please pull out all the hard disks, then turn on the machine, and reinsert the hard disk to install the system after hearing 3 buzzers.

Thank you, I was able to log in again.

But the problems don't go away.
So much money and I got a totally unreliable device.
It goes offline without any reason.
All of a sudden, I can not access the storage with Windows
The file browser in the TOS system is slow.

I'm so F**king frustrated and angry.

From the moment I connected it, the problems started.
An engineer had to fix it thru Teamviewer, a never used new device!!

I have a totally useless device now, and I paid a fortune for it!!!!!!!!!
Is there any way I can get my money back because I lost all my trust that my files are safe with this NAS?

UPDATE:

My last hope to get a working device was to go to factory settings.
Maybe if I start all over again, it will work as it should.

But after returning to factory settings, the device refuses to start the LAN network; the led stays off.
It doesn't matter which LAN port I use; there is no LAN network.

Whatever I do, I do not get LAN activated.

I connected a monitor to the Teramaster, and it seems to hang with the following text:

Did you install any extract memory or M.2 SSD into the device? If yes, remove them and try to initialize the device again. Or you can try to remove all your drives, delete all partitions on your computer, and then try again.
