TOS5 - Use of multiple IP Address

Hi,

It seems that TOS 5 does not allow to use different IP address range for Ethernet Port 1 and Ethernet Port 3.

I run a Terra Master F2-422 NAS.

Port 1 is the first 1Gbps Ethernet port.
Port 3 is the 10Gbpe Ethernet port.

Port 1 configured as : 192.168.1.20 / 255.255.255.0 / 192.168.1.254

If I try to configure port 3 as 192.168.1.22 / 255/255/255/0 / 192168.1.254 => OK
If I try to configure port 3 as 192.168.0.22 / 255.255.255.0 / 192.168.0.2 and hit "Confirm" then NOTHING HAPPENS

I could of course leave it to first config.
But then it seems that for some reason, the speed is limited to 1gbps instead of 10Gbps...

Am I doing something wrong ? Or can anyone confirm that I can not use 2 IP ranges for each Ethernet port ?

I should mention that I cna do that without any problem in TOS 4.2.40...

Any help ?

Hi,

Just tried to set the Ethernet Port 3 to 192.168.2.x instead of 192.168.0.x

Funny enough : that works !

So this is a way to circumvent the problem.
Why is 192.168.0.x not working in TOS5 while it was working in TOS 4... That will probably remain the riddle of the day !

Regards.

I’m not sure why you would want this. Why not bundle the ports if they are on the same network and have an 11Gb link?

If they’re going to different networks than it would be worth having different network IP addresses. But if it’s the same then eh, bundle is your friend

The issue of 192.168.0. x not working has been resolved on a newer version of TOS5. You can update TOS and try again.
