I am looking at the 6bay SME tower NAS.

Is there a way to use unattended updates, like forcing OS and panel software updates (TOS I think you call it)?

Is there a way to install fail2ban or crowdsec? Clamav by default?.

Is there a way of ssh into the NAS and configuring IPtables? Or other firewall?

I would like to get users advice/comments are you happy with your NAS?

How are 3rd party apps vetted?

Avoid the TOS V5.0 update at all costs.

TerraMaster has tried to fix my computer remotely. Feedback given:

One, the hardware is faulty; nonetheless, it functioned properly with TOS 4.
You'll need to hold off until TOS 5 is updated; after the long wait for V5, you'd think the kinks have been worked out (I did!).

Put this mess together.
