Offline use

Hi all,

I’m moving to a house where I’ll have no Wi-Fi for a couple of weeks.

How can I use my F2-221 NAS 2bay “offline”?

I would like to connect it to my laptop or direct to my TV as a USB device. Is this possible? What’s the easiest method?

Your computer and TV need to be in a local area network, and then connect TNAS directly to the computer.

What wire do I need to connect to the laptop? The laptop doesn’t have an Ethernet port.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do this unless you have previously equipped the F2-221 with a USB wifi module with an 8812au or 8812bu chip.
Or you could consider getting a type-C to RJ45 adapter.

Something like you want to enter a house without a door or windows.
