Hi,

I have a D5-300C and for a year or two have had drives in bays 1 & 2, mirroring. I have tried to add a drive to bay 5, as a single drive. The drive LED lights, but I do not see the drive on my MAC, even in the disk utility. The new drive is from an existing hdd enclosure and I am trying to consolidate into one unit. I have tried powering off and on the D5-300C. Any help will be gratefully received.

Hi lan,
As the controllers from different supplies may not fully compatible, the system partition or file system of the drive was not recognized by D5-300C. You can try bay 3 or 4, or you may need to reformat the drive before you plug it in your D5-300C.
