I have a model F2-423 with version 5.0.166 installed.
Of the programs installed:
- jellyfin version 1.8.1.0
- modbase1 version 1.00.12
- ffmpeg version 4.4.0.0

The path to ffmpeg is specified in the jellyfin settings - /usr/local/ffmpeg/sys/bin/ffmpeg. Hardware acceleration is selected by VAAPI.
When trying to watch a video, a message pops up on the client: Playback error. This client is incompatible with media data, and the server does not send media data in a compatible format.
Jellyfin logs have:
[[AVHWDeviceContext @ 0x180d940] NoVA display found for device /dev/dri/renderD128.
Device creation failed: -22.
Failed to set value 'vaapi=va:/dev/dri/renderD128' for option 'init_hw_device': Invalid argument
Error parsing global options: Invalid argument.


Tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to set up the video hardware decoding.

This model cannot perform GPU transcoding on the current version of TOS 5 now, only CPU transcoding. Need to wait for the kernel update in the future.

Hi. Does that mean that is a feature being worked on for future update to TOS5?
Because i would very much like to have this, it would greatly improve the hability of the NAS as a multimedia server.

No tengo aceso a harware transcoding en emby Modelo F5 221 recien actualizado con sistema de arranque nuevo.
Si hago downgrade a 4 si funcionara?

TOS 5.1 uses a new system kernel to adapt new drivers to support hardware transcoding of 423 series TNAS. The hardware transcoding of F5-221 will not be affected.

Pues como puedo activar mi hardware.
Segun el registro indica Failed to open the drm device /dev/dri/renderD128 .
Tengo Emby premier.

Inicialmente funcionaba.
Como ya tenia el sistema y árbol de archivos un poco desfasado, decidí reinstalar TOS 5 y no había bootloader por lo que instale el ultimo así como la ultima version de TOS. Instale tb la app y no consigo acceder al hardware.

Alguna solución?

Resulto.
Eliminar app y todo rastro de Emby en el servidor.
Reiniciar servidor
Instalar app desde web emby.
Todo solucionado..
Por lo que veo, han de actualizar las apps de la tienda de forma más periódica. Hay una beta que tampoco se muestra en la tienda de apps de terramaster.
