F4-210 back to initialize screen after orderly restart

My F4-210 has been performing flawlessly for over 120 days. I decided it was time for an orderly restart. There have been no power failures or other problems.

After restarting, the unit is no longer accessible at port 8181 and wants to initialize.

I'm at a loss for ideas on how to recover without wiping the 10T mirrored volume I've been using.

The file system may be damaged. It is recommended that you use a hard disk detection tool to test the hard disk.

Since I'm unable to access the TNAS, are you suggesting I remove the hard drives from the TNAS and install in a WIN10 machine to troubleshoot?

There may be a problem with the file system, you can refer to this link to check and repair the file system viewtopic.php?f=75&t=2575 If the repair is unsuccessful or a similar problem occurs in a short period of time after the repair, it needs to be considered as a hard disk problem. At this time, you need to plug it into the computer and use a tool to check it in detail.

Before going the repair route, I unplugged the external USB drive and powered the TNAS up again. This time everything returned to normal.

Apparently it was attempting to find TOS on the USB drive.

All is well now.
