I have lost an HDD and my RAID is degraded. I have tried adding a new drive of the same capacity but I can't edit the storage pool to introduce the new drive as the edit option is disabled / greyed out.

Is there a way to manage the storage pool at the command line level? I understand the storage pool is basically a Linux LVM so I would think there must be Linux commands that allow you to do this.

Any guidance appreciated.

What is the array mode? Has the new hard drive been recognized by TOS? Please try to unplug and insert the new HDD to edit again.

It's a RAID 5 array with four x 8TB drives. The drive is recognised shows as an HDD, but the Pool is not editable to add the drive.

Have tried removing and reinserting the drive, restarting the NAS with the drive present and absent, nothing seems to work at the GUI level, hence looking for a command line option using MDADM and/or LVM commands.
