DLNA and Media Indexing

Maybe you can help me with the DLNA server.
If I now activate media indexing, a DLNA srever starts automatically, but it does not scrape and display any covers for films.
In order to see covers for films, I have to install the "Multimedia Server" app, which then displays covers.
Unfortunately, I don't really understand why a DLNA server is started with Media Indexing when I should install the "Multimedia Server" app in the end.
