ClamAV 0.102 is past end of life, and when I install it on my TNAS it will not auto-update.

Message on the ClamAV site says it is no longer supported from Jan 3rd 2022, and will "soon be actively blocked from downloading signature database updates"

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind users that versions 0.102 and 0.101 have reached their end-of-life period. These versions exceeded our EOL dates on Jan. 3, 2022 and will soon be actively blocked from downloading signature database updates.

Will be be getting a new packaged version of ClamAV any time soon?

I've just installed it, and then read this.

Looking at the Application, the current version is 0.103.1, with a release date of 2021-08-24 11:03:55

OK - that's odd then, as using SSH and the command clamscan -V it says the version is 0.102.0 It also seems to be unable to do any automatic updates (even though the box is ticked), and the signatures are way out of date. Tried to do a manual update with "freshclam" command but that fails... (I'm on TOS 4.2.30, but it wasn't working on 4.2.28 either)

If I do Clamscan -v I get a message that says it is out of date, and it is at version 0.102 But the app states the definitions are up to date The actual app install says it is 0.103 Very odd.

It's a capital "-V" for the version.

It says that that the signatures are up to date on the app screen - but then shows a date of February 2021, which is clearly not even vaguely up-to-date, as new definitions are added daily.

Oh yeah.
I just saw the Feb 3rd and thought that was close enough.

Anyways, I have uninstalled it again, as I don't think it real time scans.
All data is subject to virus scanners before it hits the NAS anyways.
