Empty Bin on a Mac

Hi There,
When I move files to the Bin on a mac and then empty the Bin the available disk space on the Terramaster does not increase.
It stays exactly the same despite deleting 100's of Gb.
As a result the D5 is now completely full no matter what I delete (plus emty Bin) to try and gain some space to get working again.
Can somebody please advise on how I can clear this space on the drive
