I have 2 x f2-221's.

Can I connect the Ethernet ports together as a way to rsync from one to the other?
My goal would be to free up a port on my new router.
Would I still be able to reach the web page or ssh to the Nas that doesn't have a direct connection to the router?

Your TNAS needs an IP address from HDCP server, you need to connect them to a router or switching.
