F2-221 won't initialize/format/recognize new hard drive

Hi.
I'm trying to add a new 4TB HDD to the F2-221 - a second one.
It did not format or initialize, and I don't know how to initiate those processes.
The Hard Drive appears in the control panel under "Hard Drive". Below it in yellow reads: "IHM Notification". This HDD does not appear under the "Storage Pool" or "Volume" under the same menu.
If I try to create a new volume, I am not given access to the new HDD.
I don't know if it matters, but I put the HDD I'm already using into slot 2 and put the new HDD in slot one, and I can still use the old volume but cannot access the new HDD. In other words, the slots seem to be working fine.
I'm using Windows 10.
Any advice would be appreciated!!
